• Uses positive methods to correct negative behaviours – this is hard to do but makes a huge difference in the long-term effects on how your dog responds to you.
• Offers client references – the best way to get some insight on any good or service is through other people.
• Has liability insurance – this is critical to ensure that you and the trainer are covered in the case that anything happens with your dog.

When you decide to register in puppy school be sure that the expectations are clear. You want to have a structured course that plainly outlines what is being delivered and what the results will be upon completion. Realize that a big part of this process is socialization, so puppy play is strongly encouraged!
