No-no #1: Skipping Obedience Training

Whether you are bringing a puppy or adult dog home, you should begin teaching commands like come, sit, stay and down. If an adult dog hasn’t received any formal training, you should enroll her in a class right away, while a puppy should be registered as of eight weeks.

No-no #2: Forgetting to Socialize

Neglecting to socialize your pet can result in aggressive behaviour, fears and lack of confidence. This can be difficult to get rid of once your dog has matured.
